Spinosaurus
The Spinosaurus lived in the late Cretaceous period in what is currently Morocco, Africa. It’s distinct sail has been the subject of awe but also controversy as it’s function remains unknown. Recent research has suggested that the animal may be quadrupedal featuring a tadpole like tail and an M shaped sail more adapted to an aquatic lifestyle. Jurassic Worlds Spinosaurus is much larger than its real life counter part standing at 6m tall and 16m in length with an appearance more akin to that of the animals depiction in the early 2000s. Razor sharp teeth and hooked claws help this piscivore hunt and grip it’s prey(coelacanths and sawfish) or potentially protect itself from the fierce Carcharadontosaurus’ it shares its home with.
